The glad game

So in the past week or so I’ve had some exciting news/happenings so please ignore my boasting and let me be share this super exciting news with you! The haps:

First and foremost, Jona is moving to the UK!!!!! He got a job at the Centre for Alternative Technology over in the Welsh land and will be here from February 23rd until August 23rd! Not only am I squishy with excitement (is that something that people say?- probably not but I like the way it sounds) that we will be in the same time zone and have loads of adventures and sleepy afternoons together, but Jona will also be able to do something meaningful and engaging and wonderful and yay!

Next, in a more self-promoting style, my work was accepted in the Materials Research Society Spring Conference in San Fran! And for bonus points, it looks like I might actually be able to go and present on it. My super lovely supervisors hear at Bath have located some funds that I could use for conference travel and things. Amazing!

And it just keeps going! Adventures and visits and things are all falling in to place. From a visit from the fam, to a beach weekend with Jona, to adventuring across “it’s going to be soooo good and soooo hot” Egypt with Andrew. Stellar!!!

And just to wrap things off both British Sea Power and the Decemberist’s new albums both dropped so my ears are happy too.
