I must have the worst oven in the history of ovens. Today I was making cookies that were supposed to bake for 10 minutes. I put them in at 5:30, walked away, and meant to go back 10 minutes later. I of course totally forgot and thus had a flash of panic when I looked down at the clock and saw it was 6:15. With images of a burning kitchen in my mind I ran into the kitchen and ripped the cookies out of the oven. Were the cookies little blackened specks of charcoal though? No, after being left in the oven 35 minutes too long they remained slightly squishy and oddly brown. I think this could be a problem.
